Apple
Apple has made it possible to make donations for the Red Cross for Japan quake relief via iTunes.
PayPal
PayPal has set up an online store to take donations for Save the Children, GlobalGiving, HandsOn Network and the American Red Cross. Click here for more information.
Zynga
Zynga has launched a fundraising initiative across more than seven of its games in partnership with Save the Children to support relief efforts in Japan. The link above explains how game players can donate to the relief effort. They have raised over $1M dollars to date.
Sony
In addition to the 300M Yen donated this week. Sony’s offering a free theme with donations through the PlayStation Network. Donations of $2, $5, $10, $25, and $50 to the “Aid Japan” section of the PlayStation Store will net a free theme. “Aid Japan” can be found under the New Releases section. All proceeds will be going to the Red Cross toward their Japanese relief fund.
Sony is also accepting “Sony Point” donation from “My Sony Club” members in Japan for Earthquake Relief aid (Japanese/日本語 only)
Mixi
Mixi, one of the largest social networks in Japan, raised $1.6 million for earthquake relief in two days.
The effort, which prompts online gamers to donate money, has attracted donations from more than a million people who use the service.
Gree
The company quickly set up “virtual goods” for purchase through their micropayment system to help raise money for victims of the earthquake and tsunami. Gree raised more than $1.7 million so far.
