Global Mobile Internet Conference 2014 in Tweets
I attend and speak at a large number of tech events every year, but one that I make a point of not missing is the Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC), ever since I first went to the Beijing conference in 2012.
Consistently this three-day conference (now also held in San Francisco, Tokyo and Bangalore) offers top-notch content, connections and conversations. Although sometimes compared to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, I’ve found GMIC more inclusive of entrepreneurs from developing countries. Not a small thing given that is where most of the growth in mobile will be in the near future.
So I was thrilled to be asked by GMIC’s founder Barrett Parkman to moderate the Grow Asia track last month at the San Francisco conference, along with product and business leads from Path, Evernote, Airbnb and OpenTable.
Besides my own panel I gained valuable insight from other industry thought leaders, entrepreneurs, developers, and investors in the mobile technology space. For those of you who weren’t able to attend, below are some of the best nuggets of information and view I came across during the three-day conference.
