What would you say as a designer if someone asked you the question:
What is the most beautiful curve in the world?
Is it a perfect circle? Or the curves in the Golden Ratio Diagram?
Maybe it’s actually a straight line.
Every designer has their own opinion, and there is no single answer to the question. However, there is one curve that – even if it’s not your favorite curve – every designer should pay attention to. What is it?

“The curve that shows sales growth.”
The designer’s job is not just about creating beautiful visuals. Ultimately, their design work should contribute to company sales growth.
As designers, however, we tend to focus too much on creating something that simply looks good. We need to keep asking ourselves how our work will contribute to improving company performance and not lose focus.
Designing for money may not sound right. But if you don’t think about how your designs will positively impact the company at all, then you don’t have the right mindset for a designer.
When you design something that doesn’t add value to the business, you’re designing something people don’t really care about no matter how pretty it looks.
DESIGN = DE$IGN
It always has been, and will continue to be.
