A LITTLE ABOUT ME
John Hayato Branderhorst was born in the United States, but his childhood had an international twist as he spent many formative years living in Okinawa where his mom is from. Being Nisei (second-generation Japanese American) and growing up between both cultures sparked his passion for US-Japan relations, which led to teaching English in Okinawa through the JET Program after college. Today, as Director of Operations at btrax, he helps companies navigate between these two markets, drawing on both his personal experience and professional expertise. Along the way, he's had some unique adventures - including being the only American selected for All-Japan soccer tournaments and even launching a ramen business in San Francisco!
