As the largest and most densely populated continent, it’s natural that Asia has become a place of immense growth for e-commerce. Japan and China in particular lead the way in terms of B2C e-commerce spending, with mature platforms like Rakuten and Tmall as leaders in the space. Note that this infographic by GO-Globe focuses on B2C sites and not C2C platforms like Taobao or eBay.

China is projected to be the country with the most growth potential in the next two years, and Japan will remain a firm second place with the highest e-commerce penetration in all of Asia (97%).
