A little tip to increase your website traffic
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a technique used to boost a website to a higher position on search results. You might think that search engines “search” contents of websites, but the truth is they look at the “title tag,” which is located at the top of a web browser. For example, if you open the btrax website (www.btrax.com), the first words that should catch your eye are “addicted to success. yours.” They are catchy words, but nobody would search using the term “addicted to success” when looking for a web design company. More important keywords for SEO are title tags, which in the case of btrax reads “Creative Agency, Branding, Web, Japanese, Chinese, Asian Localization San Francisco (CA).” You can use different words for both the website and the title tag, so that your website appears attractive to visitors yet still makes use of SEO effectively.
What if we put as many words as we want on the title tag? This would lower the search engine ranking since search engines look at the density of the title tag as well. If you use the keyword “Creative Agency” along with other hundreds of keywords, the search engines may not be able to associate “Creative Agency” with the btrax website. As a rule of thumb, 10 or less keywords should be sufficient.
